:bookdiva: this novel by George Orwell takes place in 1984 and presents an imaginary future that is completely controlled by a group known as the Party, its leader and dictator is Big Brother. using telescreens in peoples homes, the party is able to control everyones aspect of life, their fears, even peoples thoughts.

Winston Smith secretly hates the party and tries to keep his thought crimes a secret. at work he meets the beautiful dark haired girl, Julia. they meet up in different places to have sex and get away from the Party. sooner or later they are caught and sent to the ministry of love, where they are tortured by their greatest fears being used against them. in Winstons case, that would be rats..

I just finished the book, and this scene freaked me out!!! I think the figure at the bottom is perfect for what happened.

I can't stop thinking about the book!!! >.<
